Sampling of the care package sent to me by my oldest and dearest friend Kathleen (who arguably knows me better than anyone)!
1. Toilet seat covers: for my own toilet because for some reason my Chinese suitemate has a habit of peeing all over the seat and not wiping it up!
2. Kraft Mac ‘n Cheese Three Cheese Sauce Mix: because they don’t have mac ‘n cheese here and I’ve been craving it oh so badly
3. Lotion: that isn’t for “holiday skin” which has bronzer in it… seriously, it’s impossible to find lotion here that doesn’t turn your skin orange
4. Yummy deodorant: if you haven’t tried Secret Vanilla Chai deodorant, you must buy it now… it will make you want to eat your armpits
5. Pez dispenser: because what care package is complete without one?
6. Benefiber: to keep me regular… and it’s the powdered kind because I never drink enough
7. Acne cream: for the awful acne I’ve developed on my forehead since I got here… even though I’ve never had skin problems in my life! grrrrr
8. Tide sink-washing packets: for when I have to wash my underwear in a bucket because it’s impossible to get a washing machine here
9. Centrum multivitamin: because cooking on a hotplate and rarely seeing the sun is really not good for your body
10. Perfume samples: not for special occasions… Kathleen says they’re for when I don’t shower (oh yes, she knows me all too well)!
